BioI am an American, Catholic woman in my 30s. I am a moderate Democrat. I am a school counselor. I have been a military dependent. I come from a family with a tradition of public service and work in the public sector which has carried into my generation. I went to 12 years of Catholic school, including university and four years in a public DOD school. I have lived outside this country. I write but I will not be talking much about that here. This is me. This is who I am.
This is my serious thoughts Journal. It is my discussion of srs bzns. There will be politics. There will be posts about what it is like to be a Catholic woman, a moderate feminist, an educator, a moderate Democrat. I will likely talk about economics. I will talk about religion. I might talk about social issues, mores, morals, theology, philosopy or any number of other controversial issues. I might be long winded. I will likely be very firm. There will be tl;dr.
This is meant as a place for me to get my thoughts in order, vent a bit, and save my other (non-political) flist from reading too many serious issues posts.
I spend my life being diplomatic, I do not promise diplomacy here. At the same time, I do not expect anyone else to agree with me (OK, I do, but I don't expect everyone to agree with me). One of my favorite internet people disagrees with almost every political idea I hold dear, but I have genuine respect and liking for her anyway.
Do not troll my journal, it's boring and juvenile. Genuine disagreement is not trolling.
